Liam is a guitarist, producer, and composer whose work explores the complexity and immersive textures of progressive metal. Working under the name the fourth wall, Liam creates music that dissolves genre boundaries — drawing from metal, ambient, electronic, and orchestral influences to build emotionally charged sonic worlds. Liam is based in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and hails from Taipei, Taiwan

Liam’s creative direction has been deeply shaped by the immersive storytelling found in games like Death Stranding, Hades, and Hollow Knight — titles where music plays a vital role in shaping emotion, atmosphere, and narrative depth. Inspired by the stories these games told, Liam embarked on his sonic journey, approaching composition with the same intent: to craft music that tells a story.

He is a progressive metal guitarist at heart, but also a hobbyist sound designer and a creative technologist with a passion for storytelling through sound, currently studying at Carnegie Mellon University.
